Learning from Friends

Hi,

I live in Armenia, have no access to instructors (none in the country),
and have some friends who have offered to teach me to paraglide using
their glider. I haven't checked the rating on their glider yet.

Assuming it's a 1 or low end 1-2, is it a reasonable risk to learn to
fly with them? Or should I just give up on the idea? I will not have
an opportunity to learn with an instructor for the next two years, and
after that I will likely no longer live in an area good for
paragliding...

It all depends on how is your friend good teacher...
in the beginning you should learn how to handle glide on small hill and
read-learn some theory...
check out what kind of glide is it ...
