Many of us knew Adriaan, as he used to fly with us at Dunnottar and elsewhere.
Unfortunately I could not find the article the
email refers to.

I very sad to
inform our community of the death on Sunday of Adriaan Hepburn, former pg pilot
and nowadays mostly sailplane flyer out of Worcester. He was on a Lambada
aircraft with his wife Adri when they crashed after flying low-level, seemingly
on approach to the airfield.
Phil Bristow spoke to the rescue teams looking for Adriaan, who reported lots of power lines in the area. The Lambada is apparently a very difficult aircraft to fix if brought close to stall.
CAA is investigating, and will publish findings on the CAA web site.
Adriaan and Adri have two kids in their early twenties.
