We are thankful to our foreign friends, for their being so sincere
with us. We are proud to have contacts with a cadre of sincere friends
around us like Mr Mukrim and Christian Rankl and others. Thanks to
both of them for their concerns about the Paragliders of Booni,
Chitral.
Here it should be clear to all of our friends that we are learned and
responsible ones and try to improve our skills slowly and gradually.
Though none of us have had any formal training, yet we have learned
paragliding through our own efforts and have been participating in a
number of local and national events. In the year 2010 Mr.Mukrim
visited chitral and in the course of his stay with us we learned a lot
about various techniques of flying. He also taught us the very
convenient and superior skill of ground handling. Ever since we feel
ourselves to be at comparatively ease while taking off from any
difficult point. Apart from that he informed us about many other
important things during flights.
Paragliders of Booni are thankful to Mr. Rankl for his full support.
He knows well about our perception. During his stay at Booni he had
also given time to teach us how to control the wing and what to do in
the strong wind conditions. It would not be an exaggeration to say
that his linkage with Booni Paragliders has made paragliding possible
for us. We well come to both of them and other friends to Booni, in
the future.
Booni Paragliders have established Terichmir paragliding Club (TPC)
and held paragliding show in different villages of Chitral. In October
2011 we took off from the top of the mountain above Parkusap village
and landed in the Mastuj village, which was a new experience for our
emerging Paragliders. This year in August our flights from Zani Pass
with Korean Paragliders enhanced our confidence.
To promote paragliding in this part of the country, we would like to
have strong linkages with Pakistan Association of Free Flying
(PAFF).We are hopeful that PAFF would provide full support to the
Paragliders of TPC.We need the proper equipments and gadgets for
longer and higher flights.
Terichmir Paragliding Club will facilitate the visits of the foreign
Paragliders and provide space for accommodation for them. The website
of TPC will be launched soon via that you can be in contact with us
for further information on paragliding in the Hindukush Mountains.
Thanks
Muzafar Hussain
President Terichmir paragliding Club Booni Chitral
