Gaia’s trip had been relatively uneventful, well at least to her it had been uneventful. There had only been the debate over whether or not lemon grass was actually something one cooked with and if they could consider it and the rest of the seedlings she needed to start her herb garden anywhere near any of the crew on the last cargo ship that she had placed her near irreplaceable seedlings on.

Gaia sighed softly once more as she squirmed in her seat. Most seat on most ships were at least comfortable, but not his one. It was hard, extremely hard, it was after all a cargo ship and not a transport ship. Her bum was starting to go numb, so she stood up and started to stretch and for the umpteenth time she bumped the top of her forehead. The lump was growing every bigger in that one spot. She sighed and bent over to inch her way out of the corner and move towards the ships one small replicator.

The Checker was the only ship that was headed towards her destination unless she had wanted to wait another ten weeks for the next one to depart. Gaia had been too excited to wait that long her fingers itched in anticipation of the things she could cook at Bazinga’s. Her Bazinga’s! Not grandfathers! Well, that was true for the most part. Teji, her grandfather had set many things in place long before he had handed the so called deed to his young dark blonde granddaughter.

A huge smile flitted across her face at that thought. It was hard for Gaia not to smile. Her dream was going to come true, her own Bazinga, she had worked so hard for it. The long hours working with and for her grandfather, Teji was about to finally pay off. She wrapped the shawl around her shoulders and half hugged herself as she pushed into the replicator an order of a hot beverage. Gaia had dreams of what the building would look like. It of course probably wouldn’t match up to her vision but that didn’t matter much to her.

Her grandfather had hired some of the key employees for her, there was the Ferengi, Quartezz that would be running the gaming level, it included a bar and the various games from all over the universe as she knew of it. Many Terran games were there, people of the planet Earth simply seemed to love a challenge when playing another physical and non-physical. She already had worked with Quartezz on numerous occasions; he was trustworthy, well as trustworthy as any Ferengi could be.

Gaia moved back to her seat, and ran smack into the bulkhead again. “Ooh, that smarts” she muttered as her delicate fingers probed the small lump now forming there as she scrunched down to sit again. She winced. Thoughts rushed back through her mind of the things she needed to do when she arrive.

Her grandfather had said that there might even be an opportunity to cook for the ‘Fleeters’ as he often chose to call Star Fleet personnel. “Check into that G. It would be a good opportunity for you, it could open doors to places we have yet to go, and people we have yet to serve.” His deep voice echoed in her memory.

Gaia sighed again. Only a few more hours to go… only a few, more… only a few she thought and she would arrive to her destination. Gaia took a sip of the sludge that the crew of the cargo vessel called coffee. Gaia grimaced as she sipped, it was so very nasty. “Only a few more” she said softly “you can wait that long. Just a bit longer.”
