[Paradise-IV] 910122.8 Lia Argo, Ensign, Security

[Paradise-IV Logs]

  Lia was greatful to have had two weeks with her family before she had to make her flight to Paradise IV. There was a slight smile on her lips as she thought of her family and that time spent with them. She had her bag over her shoulder as she waited for her transport to arrive. She was aware that it was going to be a long ride to get there but that didn't bother her in the least. After all she brought with her a couple of murder mysteries to read along the way as they were one of her favorite past times to do. Unlike some of the others she meet at the academy she liked actual books compared to computer ones though she did like hearing the stories told now and then. She loved the smell of the books, how they felt in her hands and the simple pleasure of turning the page to see what would happen next.

 

  As soon as the transport arrived she boarded it and took a seat after getting her first book out and stowing away her bag for the journey. There was only a few others on the transport along with her and knew they were heading for the same place. She guessed they must have been civilians by their actions but then again she also looked like a civilian at the moment since she wasn't wearing her uniform yet. After all she did not want to show up all rumpled from the long ride there. It would make for a very poor first immpression in her own mind and she couldn't have that. After their departure Lia settled in for the long trip as she opened her book and began to read.

 

  Through the whole trip Lia either read her book, slept or talked to the few people aboard the transport with her. The people whom hadn't looked very interesting turned out to be very enertaining afterall. It all made the time pass by faster for her in the end. This was going to be the first time she would be so far from home and she was nervous and excited by it as it would be a new place to descover and learn about. She was looking forward to the new change and challenges.

 

  On arrival to Paradise IV Lia hurried to get dressed in her uniform and make sure she was as presentable as possible. She gathered her bag from where it was stored and lifted it over her shoulder and headed out with her orders in her hand along with the few other people. Luckily they had made good time and were ahead of schedual by two hours. It would give her enough time to locate her quarters before reporting to her post. She had read up on Paradise IV but actually seeing it for herself was still not what she had expected. It appeared there was going to be more of a challenge then she realized but that was fine by her.

 

  Most of what she could see was ice covering the place with sevral domes. It was interesting and yet so diffrent from her home and she was determined to make the best of it. It wasn't long before she located her quarters and set her bag on the bed for now figuring she would have time later to unpack it and settle in. Taking her orders with her she left her quarters in search of the security office.
