"Enter." Cho'Lu said. He quickly straightened his desk in an effort to appear more orderly than he felt. Since the Battle Royale in front of the hospital, the press called it 'The Grand Hospital Slaughter', Yim'Bar simply did not feel up to much more than healing. He was going through the motions.
Ensign Argo entered once she had the permission and looked over Cho'Lu behind his messy desk,
"I thought I would drop in on you Sir and see how you are doing? Is there anything I can help you with?" and pointedly looked at the papers and stuff scattered all over the desk. It was a genujine offer and not done in an insulting manner but to let him know she was there if he should need a hand.
"Ensign I wish there was something you could do to assist with all of this.." he hesitated looking for the word..."duty..." He pushed a pile of PADDs off to the side some fell to the deck. "Have a seat, you want some coffee or something?" The man who had been full of confidence and light on his feet got up and lumbered over to the replicator wall unit. Lucky had finally installed
a commandeered one in the bosses office. "It's ugly but it works like everything else in this ...place..." The word seethed with hostility and something else, longing perhaps.
Ensign Argo watched as some of the PADD'a hit the deck and she looked back at Cho'Lu, "Seems to me Sir things are getting to you a bit." and instead of sitting she began to pick up the PADDs that had fallen carefully stacking them, "Some coffee would be nice. Thank you Sir." and carefully set the PADDs down out of the way taking another look at the desk as she finally sat down seeming just a bit uncomfortable. There was obiously more on her mind then just his wekfare at the moment.
Yim'Bar handed her the coffee and took a sip of his own, he winced. "It needs more sweetener
. I need to program my own version of this brew humans drink, something yummier." He plopped back down into his chair, "Ensign, none of that crap matters. Please stop cleaning up after me. Tell me how things are going with the team. It can't be too good with Senior and Bullseye still missing." Yim'Bar seemed to go into some form of trance, staring out the door of his office seemingly looking through Argo.Ensign Argo took the coffee and smiled a bit, "Thanks Sir." and sipped it whincing slightly herself and set it on her leg still holding it as she looked at CHo'Lu, "Things are a bit strained with them two missing but it is going mostly well. Takes a bit to motivate them sometimes. I take it we still have no clue as to
where or whom took them Sir? You know we were recently inspected by Lt. Comm. Lox? He wants us to use what we have on hand and cut down replicating things to just the barest minumum of what we have to have. He also made it clear we are using to much power in general so have told the team to cut down on the uses. He also made me aware that some of the replicator entries are missing from the log."
'Great!' Yim'Bar thought now he wasn't even allowed a cup of coffee. He shook his head, "Good work ensign keep them on their toes." He responded. He truly could care less about power consumption or logs. Those things were simply irrelevant nonsense. "I want to ask you a question Ensign.
What do believe happened to Senior and Bullseye? I had Bullseye covering me in the square and he did so efficiently and then disappeared. Chief was supposed to be with Scrounge and Lucky two blocks east of the Hospital square. Lucky and Scrounge are present and accounted for, Bullseye and Senior are not. Have either of them said anything about what happened during and after the chaos, as far as I know neither of them responded to the square. Where did they come from and what was their condition when you found them? What do you know Ensign?"
Ensign Argo frowned a bit as she watched CHo'Lu, "Thank you Sir." and she shifted in her seat taking another sip of the coffee and setting it back down on her leg holding it carefully so it wouldn't spill, "Only thing I can think of is either someone got the drop on them and they were captured and being held
somewhere or........ and I seriously hope this isn't the case, they walked away and are hiding or have left. I do know Lucky and Scrounge were both pritty beat up and neither seemed to have any memory of what took place. They didn't even remember getting inside the hospital and since then they haven't said a word other then being worried about Senior and Bullseye. I am begining to think we should go take a look at the locations and see if there is anything we can find out from where they last were."
"Officer thinking Ensign. We are going to run an Op into that real creepy Sector that Commander Lox is about to upset with his construction plans. If our people are on this world they are in that haven of evil. I will need to secure some permissions first but get the kids
ready, we are going in hot and we are coming out with answers. Sing is going to be assigned a special detail so do not include him on the team." Yim'Bar declared, more focused than he had been in a couple of days. "Meanwhile we are going to institute a procedure we have not dealt with in years, I want every security officer to stand inspection. You will conduct that inspection with me since Senior is not here to do it. We are going to Blood test the whole department, we have got to make sure we are all who we say we are. You willing to be tested right now?"
Ensign Argo grinned a bit and sat up straighter in her seat, "Now that is what I call a plan and I am glad to see that special
spark back again Sir. If I may say so Sir....... its about damn time. We have to many unanswered questions and they need answers Sir." and she nodded, "Yes Sir I will round up everyone on or off duty at your command Sir but I will Sing to do his own thing. Yes Sir I am. Test away Sir."
"Later on the tests, just keep it quiet it will happen off the scanners. I need you to get over to The Shack, grab Lucky, and Scrounge. Gear up, and grab a couple of the trainees, we are going to have to amp up the team and reinforce. I think if we deploy with you and me and four others including Scrounge and Lucky we can be effective. We will deploy after nightfall, make sure everyone is
'Colonized' from the outside. We do not want to draw attention to our entry into the 'Warren'. That's what we will call it. We will go shake some people down and find our guys." Yim'Bar thought for a minute, "Ensign, you holding up okay? How are you doing after all that chaos. Thanks for securing the Admiral, I was terrified she would be wherever Senior is now."
