He tried to shrug off the lingering after affects from last night’s
dreams. The feeling of being enclosed, surrounded by water, wanting to
break free…but there was something decidedly unnerving about the whole
experience. No doubt, as with all strong nightmares it would not
remain, and he chalked it up to some unconscious repercussion of his
decisions regarding the miners and the resulting tragedy. He figured
having Kylee blaming him probably wasn’t enough for his self punishing
mind. He sighed out loud and arrived at K’ylanas room. The newly
installed chime announced his presence even if the door was still
manual.
Vilqa was sitting in silence in a meditative state as she
reflected on some strange dreams she had been having lately when her
chime rang and pierced the silence. She had all lights switched off,
the room aglow of candle light with flickered and swayed with the the
flow of air. The blazing lights filled her living quarters with warmth
that was often missing in these less than sterile environment planet
side. Standing she carefully placed her bat'leth on the rosewood
holder and moved to unlatch the rudimentary locking system and open
the door. "Marcus. Please come in."
He smiled as he saw K’ylana, she
drew out all the desires and feelings he had buried beneath the myriad
of work tasks over the past month. They had seen each other only
briefly in that time. They both understood the necessity of duty but
he was grateful that time was now over.
“Evening K’ylana, are you ready for our visit to the arena?” He
watched her figure, in his mind all of her movements were at once
alluring, graceful and somehow primal and alert. The result of falling
for a half Klingon, half human he was sure.
"I hope you have been keeping well." The demi klingon was dressed in
civilian clothing of black tights and an emerald green tunic style
shirt with a waist style corset in leather that followed her form with
near precision; the laced collar untied. Her pursed a moment while
tilting her head to the side, "Oh yes the arena..." she let her mind
wander, "I am sorry I had forgotten!" She shook her head from side to
side, "Things have been more than hectic, I do not even know what day
it is."
There were several arenas in the area. Created and prepared
for a variety of sporting events they were nearly always packed. The
particular one he had identified for tonights foray was a little worn
down on the outside but boasted a spectacular Klingon wrestling match
this night between two of the planets most accomplished athletes. As
far as he knew they were not actual Klingons but he hoped the event
would still surprise her.
"Would you like a glass of wine or ale before we go?" Her hands lifted
to bundle her hair into three strands which she pleated into a braid
and tied off before reaching for a pair of knee high heeled boots
which would lessen the height differential of the pair by a few
inches. K`y brought out two glasses and motioned toward her cupboard
if he had interest in the beverage then sat down in a chair to lace up
the tall boots. "Whose bright idea was it to buy these?" K`y joked as
she moved to the second boot.
<<TBC sorry for the shortness, didn't want Marcus penalized due to my
slowness so I am posting a partial JL>>
