The people were not dispersing all together, they were outraged. He heard
the colourful oaths and language that flew from the lips of almost all of
those present. He wondered how Starfleet would ever recover from this act.
He wanted the inside scoop, he wanted the interviews, he wanted the story.
Fate had landed him here on this colony, this supposed Paradise and now he
had the potential for a story that could send shockwaves through the entire
Federation. Only currently it wasn't a story. Currently it was a mess of
disjointed facts, but it wouldn't take long to piece it altogether.
He picked his way along the side of the path that led to the hospital. It
didn't look like Starfleet were in any mood to let people inside. He flashed
his press pass and received a stony stare in return. Then he stepped back a
few yards, peered around the courtyard and purposefully did his best to seem
like he was wandering aimlessly out of view and out of the area. Instead he
looped around to the back of the hospital and bided his time. There was
security here as well of course, but at some point it would slacken and then
he would slip inside and then he would have his interviews and his story.
