PARA-SIG Session on Message Passing Interface

Dear all,

With all the awesomeness of BOSM getting over and Mid-sems lurking in the corner, a session on another way of parallel programming seems to be nice transition. :-)

So, continuing with the tradition, this time PARA-SIG brings you Distributed Memory Parallel Programming with MPI.

An Introductory session on Message Passing Interface (MPI) is going to held on Monday, 23rd September, 2013 in LTC-5101 from 8:00 pm onwards, by me.

We will be discussing -

 * Distributed memory parallel programming model

 * Basics of MPI along with few simple codes

 * Setting up Beowulf cluster for running MPI programs

Try to be there and inform your friends too.

We will really appreciate if you could share your any experience with any kind of parallel computing that you might have witnessed in your job/research.
