Hey, it’s Mark Kelly.
I know it’s Christmas Eve, and I know you’ve got better things to do than read emails from people like me. Still, I wanted to reach out.
It's been quite a year. After Desert Storm and the space program, I thought I had left the risky jobs behind me. Then Elon Musk called me a traitor, Roger Stone threatened my life, and Donald Trump called for my arrest and hanging. Pretty crazy stuff.
Flying over Kuwait, or commanding the space shuttle, I never would’ve imagined any of that would ever happen. But, here we are.
In the Navy and NASA, I was always lucky to have a team of really good people backing me up. They got me through some tough situations. And today, I know I am incredibly lucky to have you on my team.
I am really, truly grateful for everything you’ve done for me. It means the world to me, and I won’t forget it.
Thank you.
Now, time to go play with my granddaughter.
