We’re paying more for groceries every week. Workers are struggling. But retail CEOs are cashing in on Trump’s tax breaks.
A new report from Americans for Tax Fairness found that top retail CEOs personally saved tens of millions of dollars under Trump’s tax law as many major retailers paid little or nothing in federal income taxes. At the same time, retail workers rely on food assistance, delay medical care, and juggle multiple jobs just to survive.
Now Trump and his allies want to make the tax giveaways permanent. If Congress allows it, grocery bills will keep rising — and retail executives will keep cashing in.
Tell Congress: “Make retail CEOs pay their fair share. End Trump’s tax breaks for corporate executives and put working families first.”

Trump’s tax cuts handed massive windfalls to giant retailers. That money didn’t go to lower prices or better pay. It went to executive bonuses, stock buybacks, and shareholder payouts. Workers got squeezed. Prices went up. CEOs got richer.
Meanwhile, families are cutting back, skipping basics, and feeling the squeeze at the checkout line.
This isn’t an accident. Congress built a tax code that rewards price hikes and greed — and punishes the people who keep stores running and shelves stocked. Making retailers and CEOs pay their fair share would take the burden off the backs of working families and provide critical funding for the social safety net.
