Health facilities Project HOPE supports in the communities devastated by the earthquakes in Venezuela are still overwhelmed with patients.
6 days after the initial earthquakes struck, some of the clinics we support still have no electricity. Many have no running water, making patient care extremely difficult. The clinics urgently need more IV fluids, bandages, pain medication, and more support.
Despite damaged facilities, lack of power, and limited resources, Project HOPE is treating patients, providing psychological first aid, delivering medical supplies, and conducting search-and-rescue operations. This is all occurring while the people of Venezuela have endured over 600 aftershocks since the initial earthquakes.
