It has been a little more than two weeks since Donald Trump launched his reckless and unauthorized war in Iran, with no end in sight.

Dear MoveOn member,

It has been a little more than two weeks since Donald Trump launched his reckless and unauthorized war in Iran, with no end in sight.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is asking his constituents to “send their sons and daughters to the Mideast,” signaling the administration’s intent to escalate the conflict.1

When asked about U.S. casualties in this unnecessary war, Trump replied, “That’s the way it is.”2

No matter what Trump says, the war in Iran is not inevitable. Congress has the power to stop it. Americans have the power to stop it.

Trump is preparing to ask Congress to authorize an additional $50 billion for his unauthorized war in Iran.3 We MUST stop this war before it escalates further. If we can raise the money for it, MoveOn will put up mobile billboards in the districts of every member of Congress who voted against a War Powers Resolution to rein in Trump’s needless, multibillion-dollar war.

Will you rush an emergency donation of $9 to help us get the billboards up? (If you have saved your payment information with ActBlue, your donation will go straight through.)

Trump’s warmongering is not occurring in a vacuum—we are already paying huge prices at home.

Last week, a Michigan synagogue was rammed into by a vehicle driven by a man whose family U.S. officials say were among the 2,000 Lebanese and Iranian lives lost in the Israeli-U.S. incursions so far.4,5

The financial cost is real, as well. The Iran war cost the U.S. $11.3 billion in just six days.6

Just think of what we could have bought with $11.3 billion. Health care. Child care. Housing.

Prices were already unaffordable. And now they’re going up, up, up.

And the Iranian people deserve freedom and safety. Bombs and missiles do nothing to free the Iranian people from oppression.

During the Iraq War, it was the actions of MoveOn members—people like you—that made sure that vote defined a generation of not only activists but also members of Congress. Let’s do the same now.

MoveOn members have already sent 27,000 letters and made more than 3,000 calls to their senators asking them to vote NO on supplemental funding for the Iran war. It’s time to step up our campaign.

Rush a donation of $9 now to help us put up billboards and pressure Congress to stop this new forever war. (If you have saved your payment information with ActBlue, your donation will go straight through.)

Thanks for all you do.
