In a recent press conference aimed at deflecting from the failure of Trump’s Iran operation, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated, “This was never meant to be a fair fight, and it is not a fair fight. We are punching them while they're down.”
As you’ve seen by the rising price of crude oil skyrocketing to $120/barrel today and the real concern that gas could cost up to $5/gallon by this Friday, this does not appear to be the case. They are hitting us just as hard as we’re hitting them.
And while Pete’s metaphor was a fabrication, Democrats, on the other hand, have an actual opportunity for an unfair fight where we can punch someone while they’re down:
MAGA in the upcoming April 7th Wisconsin State Supreme Court Race.
Democrats in Wisconsin presently hold a 4-3 one-vote majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
This court oversees everything from election outcomes to abortion rights, and it has long been a key objective for the GOP in its endeavor to take full control of this key swing state.
Last spring, MAGA suffered a catastrophic defeat when they attempted to seize this court, and then last November, MAGA was dealt another crippling blow when they failed in their attempt to steal the Pennsylvania Supreme Court (the Dem win that put Defend our Courts on the map).
Now we have the opportunity to punch them on the ground and ensure their submission by ensuring that Democrats gain a 5-2 majority on this key court. If we pull this off, we will hold this Court until 2030. That’s 4 years, including during the ‘28 presidential, where we’ll have MAGA dead to rights in a key swing state.
We can do it, but we need your help to ensure Democrats massively turn out for a judicial race — no small feat, seeing that races like this do not register for most voters and turnout is typically as low as it gets.
