Is it just me, or is there a general problem with browser buffer
memory not being released? I cannot even run the Hilbert example
without virtuel memory consumption rising beyond a gigabyte, with the
result that my PC freezes.

PS: I have now tested on Linux/Mozilla and my wife's Mac/Safari too.
Same problem applies.

Sadly I think I know what the problem is

I added an undo buffer of fixed length to keep snapshots of the
canvas. I imagine that the garbage collector
isn't freeing the memory automatically.

I can just revert the change though

Hi all

I would suggest reverting the change then. I do not think that the
"undo/redo" function on individual turtle movements is very
interesting anyway, especially not while running. What you would
really want was undo on the code changes since latest run and before.

Best regards
Jens

I've been playing with a 'line at a time' interfave closer to how older logos
used to work (like a shell or command)

For this, undo was requested, but I didn't think it would break everything.

I'll try and revert it later today - in the meantime if you're
interested I can give you
svn access if you want to make other changes too.

Sorry about the delay it's been reverted.

Again, if anyone fancies svn commit access I would love to give it to
them.

Everything is sweet now, with regards to performance. I would like to
see the repository - although I do not know if I will be able to
contribute.
Best regards
Jens
