hey friends!
It's the day of the party!! I'm so excited to finally see CMPBS and be together with our team & community tonight!
I am working on the Catalina eblast for launching on Monday/maybe Tuesday morning. This eblast will have the official ticket link, facebook event, etc... We have a production page for Catalina already up on our website and we can keep/tweak that language on the web but the base of it was used already in our Amplify campaign and the paper chairs party/fall news eblast that went out on Aug 1, so the new eblast doesn't include a lot of that text... the new eblast is very simple and to the point - that said, there is room to elaborate if we want to add something fresh about the production or about the CMPBS residency. Take a look - I've attached the current draft & marked those spots in red.
I also marked a few things in the team listing that someone should double check - is this the whole cast list? is everyone's name spelled correctly? Is this how we want to give credit to Mark, Henna, Mason and Chris Conard?
Another thing to note -
I've listed the tickets at $15-25 (AEA didn't seem to care about the cost of the tix, just how many seats we were selling.) We don't currently have an industry night in the run - are we ok with that? We will have a private discount code for
$10 for Seminary folks (as a thank you for the rehearsal space donation) and
if we want to give it out to other students or artists.
I usually like to put the estimated show length in the buyplaytix ticket listing so people can plan their nights/babystitters/etc as they are looking at the tickets- do we think this will be 90 minutes with no intermission? Let me know!
Also
- we had talked about doing a talk-back or Q&A as part of our
outreach efforts to the Latin American department, the MAAC, queer
community, etc... this doesn't have to go in our eblast, but I didn't
want it to fall off our radar. Is this something we are still interested
in doing?
also,
FYI - We have been approached by the Creative Fund about a Creative
Experience - I've given them the dates of our run and we'll see if they
commit. If they do, they normally like a talk-back or some kind of tour
of the space but it can be pretty informal.
No rush at looking at this eblast today - since we're all at rehearsal/party prepping - but if I could get people's thoughts/feedback on the eblast by tomorrow night, I can incorporate them across the platforms before the launch.
Thanks,
sak
