Company meeting notes 4.2.2017

present – liz, lisa, spring, dendy

Catalina updates:
space – reaching out to MAAC (Liz do) and Santa Cruz (SAK do) as back ups. Priority questions – do they have Sept dates? Can lisa do a walk through?

Fundraising – met our base Ampilify goal but not our stretch goal, have $1,400 Gap.
Can be met through:

grants – Creative Fund $600; Awesome Foundation $1,000; HEB Foundation $?
places in the budget to cut? (sak will email out budget to team)
dinner/salon invited fundraiser event – July 8? (liz lead? Will Dibrell/Tom Green types?)

need to start having production meetings/calls/skype with dustin, liz, and lisa re casting, production team, sound/tone of music, etc…

sak will be out of town in late aug, early sept, and possibly late sept. Dendy is available for Box Office.

COA Grant FY18 - due to ACA April 17

for grant , we will submit with:

              *Reckonnoiter – 3 Sundays in late November/early Dec
              (since Catalina is in Sept, we will want breathing room.)

              *Sor Juana –at the outdoor plaza in the MAAC, in late Feb/early March
              written by Elizabeth Doss (Liz, send blurb!)
             *Decapitations at the Ground Floor? (or some other made up place)
             3-4 actors, written by Megan Tabaque (Liz, get blurb from Megan!)
             directed by Alex Basset Shaw (Liz, ask her for a resume/bio please!)

other options to put in hopper:

Battle of San Jacinto by Katie Bender, at Bob Bullock museum?
Joan of Arc play by Patrick Shaw

Can we find the time to do an internal reading series in May/June?
Sak out of town april 26-may 11; june 15
liz out of town end of may

dendy out of town june 2-10

first reading May 13 – Decapitations? (Liz, ask Megan & others?)

talked through the rest of the grant – sak will fill in budget & history related qs – and point out ones that would be good for lisa/liz to answer.
