The book cover that started it all - my fascination with SciFi and
Fantasy art that is - was probably Michael Whelan's cover for
Heinlein's novel Friday. I can still remember browsing the shelves at
the local bookstore (a Walden's Books, I believe) and catching a
glimpse of that striking cover. I was captivated by that enchanting
beauty.

Later it was the covers by Boris Vallejo that sucked me in
completely. It was the combination of Boris and Poul Anderson in The
Broken Sword that started my mania of collecting and reading SciFi and
Fantasy books. Thank you Boris & Poul!

So, what was the book cover that started it all for you?

I'd like to hear your stories.

If you haven't already, please check out http//

Peace,
