The Vatican Information Service has announced that July 7th, 2009 is
the official release date for Pope Benedict XVI's new Encyclical
"Caritas in veritate". http://212.77.1.245/news_services/press/vis/dinamiche/d3_en.htm

The Pope commented about this Encyclical in an earlier audience this
week:

"The publication of my third encyclical is near. It is called "Caritas
in Veritate." Taking up again the social themes in "Populorum
Progressio," written by the Servant of God Paul VI in 1967, this
document -- dated in fact today, June 29, feast of the Apostles Peter
and Paul -- aims to go deeper in certain aspects of the integral
development of our age, in the light of charity in truth. I entrust to
your prayer this new contribution that the Church offers to humanity
in its commitment to sustainable progress, in full respect of human
dignity and the real needs everyone has."

I will do my best to get a link directly to the document as soon as I
am able on the morning of July 7th.

For those of you in countries in earlier times zones than the United
States who are awake before I am, you should be able to access this
new Encyclical by clicking on the "Coming Soon" link for all of Pope
Benedict's XVI encyclicals of the Papal Encyclicals Online homepage.
