Vatican Publishing House has granted permission to Papal Encyclicals Online

The Vatican Publishing House has now granted permission to Papal
Encyclicals Online to reprint the Popes encyclicals, Apostolic
Constitutions, Apostolic Letters, etc. in the electronic format used
by e-Reader devices like the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes and Noble Nook,
iPads, and similar portable electronic reading devices.

The files would be made available for download free of charge to
anyone in the world.

The Papal Encyclicals Online site presently has hundreds of eReader
files for the Popes up through Pope John XXIII. But due to copyright
constraints, I felt that I could not add the most current documents
without express permission from the LIBRERIA EDITRICE VATICANA (aka
Vatican Publishing House).

Work is continuing on getting these more current files converted and
they will be made available soon.
