Hi all:  Happy New Year! It's been awhile.  Hope everyone is well and not going to stir crazy with how long this craziness has lasted.  Hopefully there is an end in sight.  One thing to look forward to for us is this evening of great music in celebration of our great friend, Reba.  Any of you who have attended our shows saw Reba at most of them sitting on her space on the couch right by the stage and we were so sad to lose her.  No better way to celebrate this very special woman's life than through a gathering of some of her favorite musicians and friends, almost all of who have performed in our home.  Stay safe and hope to see you there.  Sherry and Steve

View this email in your browser Vic & Reba Heyman with Tom Prasada-Rao (photo by Neale Eckstein)   FOCUSMUSIC, UPTOWN CONCERTS & WORLD FOLK MUSIC ASSOCIATION present A TRIBUTE TO REBA HEYMAN Saturday, March 19, 2022 7:00-11:00pm Olney Theater in Olney, MD Buy Tickets: Reba Heyman Tribute  Reba Heyman and her husband Vic were more than “ultimate folk music fans.” For decades, they attended concerts and festivals across the nation, supporting artists with their energy as well as financially, earning them the affectionate title of “folk angels.” After Vic’s passing in 2009, Reba remained a respected and beloved figure in the folk community. Her generosity in things both tangible and intangible was life changing for many artists, especially those early in their careers. Co-sponsored by Uptown Concerts, Focus Music and The World Folk Music Association, the Reba Heyman Tribute Concert will occur on March 19, 2022, 7-11 PM at the Olney Theater in Olney, Maryland. Fourteen acts will be there to celebrate Reba: Stephanie Corby, Ronny Cox, Terry Gonda and Kirsti Reeve, Lara Herscovitch, The Kennedys, Kate McDonnell, Dan Navarro, Tom Prasada-Rao, Jenny Reynolds, SONiA disappear fear, LisaBeth Weber, Annie Wenz and Jack Williams. Tickets are $25 in advance ($25 at the door to members, $35 at the door to non-members, day-of pricing for the virtual ticket : $35) and include a video of the event which can either be viewed Live if you’re not feeling comfortable being at an in-person show, or watched in post to relive the show! We request that all attendees be vaccinated and be prepared to show vaccination status for admission (or a negative COVID test dated within the past 72 hours). Additionally, we require that the audience and staff wear masks at all times inside the building unless actively eating or drinking. We thank you for complying with what we’ve determined to be best for our community.
