Several years ago I got a 30-day trial of a computer monitoring program.  It wasn't a keystroke logger, it simply recorded what program the computer was actively using, and for how long.  For example, the daily log would show 90 minutes idle, 3 hours Word, 2 hours Internet Explorer (it would also list websites visited), and 1 hour Outlook.  It only recorded something as "in use" if there were keystrokes or mouse movements/clicks in that program, so leaving Word open while reading a book wouldn't show up as working.  It was also basically invisible to the user (assuming the average legal secretary doesn't spend much time snooping in Task Manager), and recorded the logs to a central location.
The Boss decided not to implement it at the time.  Now they're revisiting the issue, and I can't find the stupid program. I thought I kept it, but I'm on my third PC and second file server configuration since then, and can't find it. Google isn't helping, possibly because I'm not phrasing it right, or am not willing to go through 200 pages of possibilities.  I'm finding lots of "NetNanny" type programs that only monitor internet use, and a boatload of keystroke or screenshot loggers, but that's not what I need.  This thing was ideal, just showed how long each thing was in use.  Anybody know of anything like that out there?

No, but some are closer than I've been able to find on my own.  I'm guessing the thing I'm looking for is long gone.  There are some good possibilities in this list, though.  Thanks!

Thanks.  I found the one I was looking for here:  http://www.neuber.com/timeanalyzer/index.html  but I'll check out the two lists ya'll found, too.  I like this one because it's simple, and it doesn't do any document or keystroke tracking/recording, so nobody can claim we're stealing passwords or reading personal emails, but we CAN show that they spent 2 hours on ebay, or only one hour actually typing in Word, or whatever.  But now I have a bunch of stuff to compare features, prices, etc.  As always, thanks for the help!
