Dear Save Texas Schools Supporters,

Get ready to rally tomorrow at 10 am!

We began rallying in 2011 when threatened with huge budget cuts. Those cuts became a reality, and have left Texas schools struggling with underfunding. Now we have a chance to see at least some change in the right direction. That's why we're rallying tomorrow!

2011 also brought a huge expansion of testing. We rallied in 2013 to stop over-testing. HB 5 brought some change, but there is still a long way to go. That's why we're rallying tomorrow!

Our struggling schools face punitive sanctions that do more to harm than help schools. We believe community-based supports that build up, like Community Schools, is the right way forward. That's why we're rallying tomorrow!

We believe every student, no matter their situation, deserves a great education and a future. That's why we're rallying!

If you live in driving distance of the State Capitol, get in the car or on the bus, grab your family and friends and some posters, and change the future for Texas children. We have an amazing group of speakers, the media will out in force, and legislators will be listening.

See you tomorrow morning at 10. Spread the word!

Best parking is at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage on 12th St. Free on Saturday. St. David's Episcopal Church parking garage is also nearby. Rally at State Capitol South Steps.
