My Friends, Happy Thanksgiving!

It is very hard to believe that Thanksgiving Day is here!

I urge you to take a little time every day to give thanks. It isn't hard to find something, someone, that you can be thankful for.

The last few weeks have been very challenging for me. I have had many chances to be thankful. They followed many chances to be: frustrated, frightened, angry... even depressed.  Remembering to be thankful helps the healing immensely.  :-D

To those many people who joined me in prayer for my little sister. Thank you. She and her new baby are now at home, and doing very well.  :-)

Take a moment to remember the folks up in the NE that were affected by hurricane Sandy, and the fine folks from around the USA that went up to help them. Perhaps 20,000 are STILL without electricity. Shocking to think that 3/4 of a Million people lost electric power! One Fifth of the continental US was effected!  Bad as Katrina was, folks didn't deal with freezing weather, too. If you can donate time or money or even a letter to the Government telling them to stop fighting & get busy...  And, find someone that you can give a hug to. Thanks.

For everyone that Registered, Educated yourself, and Voted on November 6th. Thank you. Even if I disagreed with your choice, thank you. I consider voting a legacy of courage, paid-for at an often tragic price. And all WE have to do is show up? --- !VOTE!

For the Friend that fixed my computer. THANK YOU!   For weeks, I was trying to work with a jury-rigged mess. Managed to strain my eyes, neck, back, and patience. It was bad. THANK YOU, Greg!   (It has taken me weeks to nearly catch up!)

Peace On!

Tuesday, 11/13, Austin ISD "State of the District" event was quite the Pep Rally. :-)   With an Art show and other exhibits, Students from 'bout every AISD school were part of the pageantry, including our PANTHERS!   Watching teams from a dozen schools perform synchronized music, dance, and cheers together was very impressive. And watching the high school Mascots shake-it as a group was pretty cool, too.  Rock On! ----
!!! And a shout out to the EM Robotics Team for exhibiting at the event !!! Go M&Ms!!!
