VERY Exciting couple of weeks!
But, We are not quite done.
All of our work comes down to the up/down decision of TEA Commissioner, Mr. Michael Williams. We should let him know how we feel about the recent RFP process.
I feel that it was so much better, more open, and inclusive than the plan that was dumped upon our EM vertical team in October 2011. It has been so satisfying to watch the neighborhood come together in hope and confidence for our schools. Fantastic!
The support for the Johns Hopkins plan has been so broad-based and strong, it gives me confidence for the future. And I want to tell him that as soon as possible. :-)
You should tell him, too.
Please try to contact Commissioner Williams by Friday, May 17, 2013.
Tell him you support the new RFP process that chose Johns Hopkins to partner with EMHS.
And any other encouragement that you have to help our Eastside Panthers family.
Mr. Michael Williams
Commissioner
Texas Education Agency
1701 N. Congress Avenue, Austin TX 78701
Also, feel free to contact others that you believe support our
Panthers. (Or should be.):
TX Legislators, media folks, neighborhood groups, etc.
Thanks!
And Thank You so much for your steadfast support of our kids.
! PAWS UP !
:-D

p.s.> And remember our Panther Pride Fest at EMHS on Saturday, May 18, 2013 (10 am - 2 pm).
