Dear Panther Friends, please join us in supporting our amazing kids!
Our PTSA (of Eastside Memorial High Schools at the Johnston Campus) supports "Project Graduation" as a grads-exclusive Fun event for our Graduating HS Seniors to Celebrate in a safe and alcohol-free environment. This year, the party will be overnight on June the 6th. We hope to once again provide a FREE event for our hard-working EMHS graduates.
We are still fundraising for this important event. Donations are VERY welcome. AND we have been offered the following wonderful opportunity to earn money for it.
This week is the State HS Wrestling Finals. Our EM-PTSA has been offered the concessions work for those three days! >> Thursday 2/21, Friday 2/22, and Saturday 2/23. << Located at the AISD Delco Activity Center, 4601 Pecan Brook Dr. Austin 78724. (The BIG Box on the Hill, near Hwy 183 x Springdale Rd.).
We will earn 10% of the concession sales at two windows, and keep all of the tips. We just need extra people. With enough folks, no one has to sign on for very long, and 'many hands make light work'. :-)
Although the wrestling days may be long for the athletes, with matches running perhaps 8am - 8pm each day. Concessions won't need to run that long!
Our shifts could start when they open at 8am daily. Thursday and Friday should be over between 6-7pm. Saturday should be over earlier. Maybe around 5pm.
You and your friends can sign on together for a day, or perhaps 2-3 hours on more than one day.
We are hoping for an additional 12-18 volunteers to support this worthy sports event and our own worthy cause. If you are willing to help us out, please let me know by Tuesday afternoon. We are finalizing the schedule Wednesday morning.
