[Alhambra Guitar Serial Number Check

Alhambra has been engaged for years in the manufacture of guitars of the highest quality. In order to go one step further, most of their guitars incorporate a card that identifies them in their authenticity, providing information such as the model, serial number, woods that compose it, finishing and internal bracing system.
From late 1998, all this information is automatically recorded on our computer at the same time we print the initial label when beginning the manufacturing of each guitar. This serial number has 8 digits (7 when it begins with number 0), and together with the guitar code (each model has its own identification code), lets us know the whole building and manufacturing process of that guitar.
From 1987 until late 1998, Alhambra did not use this system, but we also registered all the codes manually stating month and year when we began the process, so we are also able to know the manufacturing date.
If we are talking about guitars built before 1987, we would need some pictures of the guitar such as the internal label, the top (showing the rosette), the back and the head to identify the instrument and give you an approximate manufacturing date, the woods we used to build them and also the equivalent current model (if we have changed it). Over the many years I spent in Spain Alhambra was regarded as No 1 and Almansa as No 2 in all the quality dedicated guitar stores. Years later revisiting these stores I found that Alhambra was still the number 1 brand and Almansa no 2, all others receding into the background.

One of these processes is the Spanish Heel neck joint, where the neck and headblock are carved from one piece of wood and, therefore, the body is built around. This is significantly more complex than a regularly glued neck, but about 70% of the wood fibers of the neck run into the body without interruption. This confers a structure that provides very different and particular sound nuances, making the complex process worth the effort.
