This is another amazing museum. It takes at the very least 90 minutes to go through it. You are given the name of a passenger when you enter, and you follow that passenger's journey. At the end of the tour, you find out if he/she survived or was one of the victims of this tragedy. You truly become linked (permanently) to the person. After you have gone through it, look up the person on the internet for more information on him/her. You cannot help but be drawn even further into the tragedy. The Archaeological Museum of Heraklion is one of the most valuable and major museums in Greece and one of the most important in Europe. The exhibits include representative samples from all periods of Cretan prehistory and history, covering nearly 5,500 years, from the Neolithic Age until the Roman times. Dominant position, however, held in the collections of the unique masterpieces of Minoan art, which can be admired throughout the development. The collection of Minoan antiquities is the largest in the museum world and fairly considered the main museum of Minoan civilization.
