Just today I have had the first 24 or so of my latest (accepted and viewable for days now) photos changed on google earth to other users pictures.  These pictures and users are not always the same and often from other countries.  When I'm in my picture mode on Panoramio I can see these pics and they are mapped correctly there.  Is this happening to anyone else?  Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thank You,

lwridge

I have had exactly the same experience. It was annoying but it eventually corrected itself.

This happens regularly and will self repair shortly. It happens about once a month and because it self repairs seems to be very hard to repair, basically because we report to PA, PA reports to GE and when it comes to them it´s gone already.

I just posted a question regarding the same problem. Panoramio photos correct/accepted by Google Earth/named correctly on Google Earth but when viewed, an entirely different photo is shown. Mine have been on Panoramio for approx. 8-10 weeks now. I have looked back many times, but the photos are still not mine. But, according to hvbemmel, these will eventually will correct themselves.

The same is true with mine. This has been going on for about a month and getting worse. It started with just a few, but it has spread to all of my more recent images. Browsing GE at random, I am seeing more and more of what I think are instances of this. At first I thought they were just photos by someone totally careless about their geolocation. Is this mess related to transfer to Views?

Ralph

This "mess" started to happen some years ago when Views didn't exist yet. I don't think there in any relationship between both of them.

Me too. I just uploaded several dozen photos recently and they are all appearing on Google Earth. However, if opened, they are someone else's photos, and they are usually somewhere is Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, and whatever other country these photos weren't taken in. Very strange. I can see that this is quite a problem lately. Let's hope that it will all work itself out...

Dear Mr Ken & others above,

I joined Panoramio in early January 2015 and have, so far, loaded ca 350 geolocted images. I have noticed exactly similar problems. Some of the images do not show at all and some, although displaying the correct text title in Google Earth, show pictures taken completely elsewhere on Earth by different persors. This has continued for several weeks without any signs of "self-correction"...

You are right. No indication of any self-correction yet. It used to correct itself in the past but now that the Panoramio Team have discontinued all kind of communication with the users and even the moderators, there isn't any other answer and we all hope it will happen once again.

Sounds like it may never correct its self, it has been so long now, so is there any point in keeping our photos on it or our accounts open

Hi,

I have a feeling that the situation is deteorating all the time instead of correcting itself...
