New version of Google Earth for Andriod and Chrome:

Design is cool, but application is rather simplified. No photos from Panoramio, no wikiloc trails, no wikipedia entries, reduced support of KML.
Good bye full-featured desktop Google Earth. This step was something we were afraid (and expected) quite a long time.

Very old images, at least where I live. The most recent ones here in this part from Austria are from 2013, but they are not in GE. (there once was a joint venture from Upper-Austria with Google, but Google apparently stepped out)
In the end Google goes for quantity with very poor quality, it´s the American way,the quick money. I really hope that one of the big companies (Hey Microsoft, wake up!) will go for the market where quality prevails. Getting directions from A to B sometimes gives the most idiotic results, photos in maps are filled with poor quality featuring people. My "points count dropped from 1100 to somewhere around te 550 since Panoramio closed, It´s a big mess and I´m not under the impression someone is working on improvements.

Well, after Panoramio sunset it was only a matter of time until they trimmed GEarth. Can't monetize a desktop app without POI reviews that well, I guess

Yeah, for now. Google doesn't support or update the mobile version, so maybe they just forgot to remove it
