Panoramio future with new Google Photos?

So, Google announced new Google Photos service, without any trace of usual Google+ social stuff in it. Even more, Google+ Photos Redirects to Google Photos now. So, no more Google+ Photos.
Thats now? Panoramio deprecation will be postponed or even revised? Or we sill be forced to migrate, but without G+ pressure now?

There is no communication from Google in our direction, nobody knows anything and the contacts we have about technical issues is with persons that either don´t know or are not allowed to speak, I´m guessing the latter.

I´ve seen that the comment"stream" and the photos have got an own place in Views now, so that´s one positive, G+ is gone .

What this all means for Panoramio, well your guess is as good as mine. long before the public announcement Views would take over Panoramio I already suggested Panoramio would take over Views after a technical overhaul (Moderators were informed about plans to make a beautiful photo-site in September 2013) .  I even suggested, as Google wanted to drop the name Panoramio, to name the merged site Google Photos as Views is a really confusing name. I expect royalties soon :-).
