You keep your (83?) photos just like anybody else: On your back-up HDD of course!
And don't tell you don't have a back-up, cause
A:  Nobody will believe you     and
B:  If you REALLY don't have a back-up, that would make you the biggest ......... there is!!

We still have no idea what will be happening to Panoramio. The most plausible solution will be that Panoramio becomes part of Google Maps, it´s already handled by a Google map team and all your Panoramio photos can already be found there when you click on the three horizontal bars in the search bar left top. There your photos are under "your contributions"/photos. of course you need to sign in in GM first.

there was a promise that (some? part of?) features present in Panoramio will be implemented in a new Panoramio (under whatever name) This seems to be in a final stage, read my thread about Maps and Earth in the main forum

Since we users, that includes the voluntary moderators, did not agree with a implementation of Panoramio with Google Views, the new 10X photo site from Google(+), which was abandoned by Google after one year, Google is not on speaking terms with the users anymore. This childish behavior resulted in a total blackout in communication, so all we can do is guess using the minimal information we get from general Google announcements brought to this forum by attentive users.

Yes, he is, but he's also a big SOB!!
He had the nerve to put "go fuck yourself" in a comment on one of my photos! (He removed that comment AFTER I got the mail from Panoramio!)
And I don't have to take that, from nobody especially not from a lousy photographer!
I can't help it, that he's too stupid to make a back-up of his snapshots!

As being a somewhat of former active member of Panoramio I have not been uploading as much as I used to be for a few reasons some are personal like uploading more videos to Youtube then taking just photos not traveling as much is another reason.  What has discouraged me lately the most from being real active on Panoramio I've had so many people complain to me that I have taken a photo of their business or property even from taking the photo from the public domain, they have demanded me to remove the title or delete the photo.  For some reason, some of Panoramio mapped photos really hurt the business owner which I don't understand.  I've gotten complaints where this one owner thought I was claiming ownership of their Google business page because my photo made it to their page automatically.  That is one big reason why I don't upload as much, another reason what is the fate of Panoramio, as I was an avid uploader to Picasaweb but Google now shut it down completely.  I used to rely on Google faithfully for my photos but may now consider switching to Flickr or look elsewhere.  If Google were to bring some of the sorting features of Picasaweb to Google Photos I will stay with Google but as now the new Google Photos is nowhere what Picasaweb used to be.
