"Error when modifying the invitation"

WHY / WHAT causes that?  IS IT A (known) BUG ?!?

why do I get this in the Invitation Manager when (either) ACCEPTing or REJECTing a request by another user to join the group?

and... Has anyone else seen this error message before ?!?

(yes, I did a search of this forum first before asking)

Seen the error before before yes. Sometimes it seems to occur when someone else (another moderator) had just accepted or rejected the user. Reload the page usually works, then you can see what the other person did. Sometimes this error makes no sense, reload and try again.

forgot to mention, these are requests to join by other users (the most recent one from an account that has no photos, the earlier one did want to join with a specific photo) ... in case this might (be part of) the reason...

Applying with or without photos probably don't matter. There is one more thing you might try. Ask them to redraw their membership requests, and have them apply again. If it still doesn't work, there might be a bug in that group, which is a case for the admins. Send them an email with all necessary details.

Also, to be sure that the problem doesn't lie at your end, do the sign out-in, delete cookies and cache routine.
