I thought it would be fun to mix up the avatar every now and then.   Our current feature is :Mandarin Fish by jdrpc

Thanks a lot, Denise. Unfortunately, Google censors decided not to include on Google Earth. I never understood how they decide.

To say the least, it's very very arbitrary.

 

Anyway, this was a quite difficult photo to make. I was alone in the dive, for 2 hours, and the Mandarin only came out for around 5 to 10 minutes. They are quite small and difficult for the Fuji S2 Pro autofocus to freeze on them. It's a quite old camera, but still the one that uses the 'old' TTL system, compatible with ALL the flashes you can use...

This is absolutely amazing - and on film - wow now that's hard core underwater photography!

Dear Denise, Many thanks!

Altough most of my Underwater photos were done on slide film, some of the latest, like the Mandarin, are done on a Fuji S2 Pro DSLR Digital Camera, with the same Nikon lens!

I am very happy to share them with you.
