Hi,

I am using the Panoramio photo layer in Google Maps.  I am using "https" to load the Google Maps API.

In Firefox, when I click on one of the photos, I see the Panoramio popup balloon with the picture.  In the bottom-left of the balloon is the "View in Panoramio" link.  It is an "http" link, and works perfectly.  In the bottom-right of the balloon is an "https" link to the user's profile.  When I click the profile link, Firefox displays an "Untrusted Connection" message.  The message says the certificate is only valid for the following names.

*.appspot.com , *.*.appspot.com , *.withgoogle.com , appspot.com , withgoogle.com

Is it possible to correct for "https" on Panoramio?

Thanks,

Dan

The link works normal for me FF 21.0 on W7

Even if there would be a problem it would be in Google Maps and you should report there. I doubt they would do anything about it as there is a new GM version (in Beta) with, for the moment, a total different way of showing our photos

Strange.  I'm running Windows XP.  Firefox 21.0 has the "Untrusted Connection" problem.  IE 8 has an SSL error.  I thought may it was my computer caching the certificate, so I tried on a Galaxy Tab in Google Chrome, and got an SSL error.

I then thought maybe it's the corporate network I'm on caching a certificate somewhere, so I switched to a Galaxy S3 smartphone with a cellular connection.  Same issue.

Does anyone else I an issue connecting to:
https://www.panoramio.com/

I think it's a problem with the Panoramio's SSL certificate, not really Google Maps, as the map layer works fine.  I errors happen when connecting to the Panoramio site over https.

Is there a reason you don´t use http://www.panoramio.com ?
The only problem is the s, which gives an error in Chome too for Panoramio. The http://www.panoramio.com works without problem, also from the link in "old" GM

The application I'm developing is using https, so I'm using https for the Google Maps API.  When using the secure Google Maps API, the Panoramio balloon links to the secure Panoramio user page.  That's where the error occurs.  If I could replace out that link, I would, but it seems like a lot of work redeveloping the Panoramio balloon myself just for an invalid certificate.

Found the problem in an example in the Developers documentation.
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/layer-panoramio-tags

Click a photo, then, in the bottom-right, click the user's name.  A new window will open to the secure Panoramio site.  This site gives me the certificate error.  The error is outside of Google Maps at this point.
