I have my KML file enabled when I view Google Earth. All my older photos appear as they have always done  ie as small photo icons.
After upload it is normally only 24 to 48 hours before they are added on my KML file. However only a few of those uploaded since 1st May are visible.
As an example , I should have 18 photos in a small area around these coordinates but none at all are showing.  38° 45' 17.59" N  8° 56' 14.72" W
Has anyone else noticed this or is it a problem with my own computer ?

I can see 18 of your photos in the indicated area (using your KML file).

Herman , yes. That's what I normally see on Google Earth.  I still see my older uploads but not recent ones.
Tomas , any idea why I can't see those but I can see older uploads ?

No... :(

Have you tried to delete old KML file from GE and open it again? Did you clear memory and disk cache in GE? Not a big chance, but I have no other idea.

Tried that , Tomas , no change.
here's a screenshot of area where there should be both old and new photos visible. I can only see old ones. There should be dozens of recent uploads visible as well.

No new pics appears on GE since April 21 . Pictures accepted by GE since that date are not on the world map of GE. I've got more that 600. Only on Panoramio, they are visible.

Piardoch, what has that to do with kml files?

please stick to the topic at hand, a little search in the forum will show you that your topic has been dealt with and we are waiting for the team to look in to it.

Herman, I have to support you. Ultimately, it is usually the setting of the users in their browsers or in GE and GM .. In Chrome I have never had problems, except there was general Panoramio problems. On has to  the 90 million photos have meanwhile  set the PA once users explain . This means statistically about 2 sq km land mass is a picture. Otherwise, no further comment

I''m having the same problem as Galatas.
My photos uploaded on May 27 are still not appearing on my KML file.
Switching to "on the map" shows the photos on the "recent tab".
I've cleared memory and cache, deleted all KML-files and started over.
All my older photos are there, only the latest upload is missing.

Thanks for posting Wim.
At least I now know it's not something I have done wrong.

I rarely use GE (anymore) but I vaguely remember that KML files needed updating as well. It's not so that the KML file is being generated when you click "Your pictures in GE". Maybe the process has changed, or maybe the update is simply taking a little longer than usual?

Yes Hans , there has always been a short delay in updating the KLM file. I've never known it to be more than 24 hours or so , certainly not several weeks as at present. Also , it's strange that Herman can see more recent photos in my KLM than I can myself.

Lots of more important things in my life don't work quite as I expect them to. Panoramio / Google Earth is the least of them. I shan't be losing any sleep over any of them : -)

No, KML files (should) update Themselves, clicking again in Panoramio only makes a new file that´s why there are users reporting many duplicate photos in GE ;-)

Question from my side, do the photos in question appear on the Panoramio "Popular" map?

I found 13 of them in a small area just outside of Alcochete, both in the Popular tab and in the KML file. Strangely enough they are not appearing in the Recent tab.

In the past the photos appearing on the popular tab are also the ones appearing with the KML, if they don't appear on the popular tab then they also do not appear with the KML.

It varies from area to area. In one area some , but not all , appear on the Popular Tab. In another area none at all are visible on the Popular Tab.
Thanks to all who have shown an interest. It's not important or worth spending time trying to solve.

I am having a similar problem.  It started with some recent uploads after a year or more since my last postings,  the old photos have no problem.  All of the newer photo icons suddenly started pulling up other photos from all over the world.  To fix it I removed the problem photos and reloaded them.  The old icons remain, but just draw up a blank page, no new icons have ever appeared for the re-posted photos.  I gave up.

The bug that photos were placed on a wrong location for a short time has been solved already some time ago ( we hope). Deleting your photos before reading the forum is always preferable, because this was a general problem. Normally your photos would be present now. We are waiting on an answer from the team why there is a delay in updating Google Earth, that´s also a general problem at the moment, no updates since more then a month.

Can you give some coordinates concerning the empty icons on GE, so I can alert the team. Thanks in advance.

"Deleting your photos before reading the forum is always preferable, because this was a general problem." Sarcasm?  I was unaware of the forums here.  I replied to your email but was unsure if the info you wanted should be posted here, so here it is also.

one blank at  lat 39.246363°,  long -121.807426° and a second at the same location draws an error message.  "The requested URL /maps/iw?ftid=14986223858848926609&lyr=com.panoramio.earth.p.user.3897270%7Crender_icons:&output=html&oe=UTF-8&iwp=earth&hl=en was not found on this server. That’s all we know"

Thanks for the help, I wasn't expecting any.

Ron

The forums are as difficult to find as, for example, the Panoramio map. So, sorry you weren't aware of the forum, it has been available all the time and you are, of course, welcome to it. Expect prompt help here. If the users or moderators alike don't know how to help you the latter will forward the problem to the Team members.

Please be aware this is only a self-support forum, but with very active moderators. For further understanding how the forum and Panoramio works I recommend your reading the FAQ and the Help File.

Ron, it was meant very sincerely, no sarcasm. You took the trouble to delete your photos and uploaded them again. This was a trouble you could have spared yourself if you would have been aware of the fact that this was a bug in GE. I can be very sarcastic, but if you read this in my post, it was really not intended.

There was a second report about deleted photos showing as blancs after your post here, with coordinates, so I wrote an email to Adam Lasnik, the program manager. I linked also to this post, so I hope we will get an answer soon.

I've escalated the issue of a white panel showing up on Google Earth for some deleted Panoramio photos.
This should not happen, except in cases of photos of polar bears in the snow.

I noticed I hicked up in my original post, sorry for that; I intended to write "reading the forum before deleting your photos is always preferable, because this was a general problem". I just found myself one year older this morning; so I can sincerely say that it´s my age ;-)

In the meantime I have tried everything I know about Panoramio and GE, but still my latest uploaded photos do not appear on my KML file.

Update (13-06):  On my laptop it all worked fine. After playing with the settings of GE on my PC my KML-file is up-to-date.
But I still don't know what caused it and how I changed it.
