Panoramio Widget API and Google Sites

Can the Panoramio Widget API be used on a website created on Google Sites - which I know is very restrictive on JavaScript and iframes....?

Yes, it is easy. I took the first example, (modifying the tag), added a new page to my Google Site, changed edit to "HTML" and pasted the iFrame into the page. Google automatically converted this into a Google Gadget.
