I uploaded a panorama of 22 AEB series, each with 3 images, in RAW format.
Panomonkey tells me by email
We’re sorry - Panomonkey was not able to create your panorama.
More information about the error can be found here:
http://www.panomonkey.com/images
Well, the information in that email is somewhat sparse,
and the claim of the second line is confusing as I can't find any bit of additional information under that link.
I uploaded individual files and not a zip-file.
I did not watch my screen all the time during the hours of upload.
Do I need to do that to learn more about potential upload problems?
Panomonkey sent an email that the upload completed successfully.
Should I distrust that message?
Should I assume, that some images were broken during upload anyway?
For now I don't.
Possibly I did things while shooting which I should not do?
Some respective points seem not to be covered by the FAQ or instructions of Panomonkey:
- Is it okay to upload AEB series to Panomonkey?
- Is it okay to use automatic exposure mode for such AEB series?
- Is it okay to upload a mix of portrait and landscape images?
While a take most pictures in portrait orientation,
the Nadir shot may come out in landscape orientation. - Does it matter if I accidentally changed the zoom between shots
as long as all images still have sufficient overlap?
Can you clarify these points?
What seems also strange to me: I can not find any ID or URL regarding my uploaded panorama.
It would seem useful if I could tell you which panorama I am talking about.
All that I can find is a link "X" on
http://www.panomonkey.com/images
whose target is
http://www.panomonkey.com/images/delete/33936 but I hesitate to click on it.
From this link I guess that my uploaded panorama might have the ID 33936 at Panomonkey.
Can you tell me how to correctly reference a failed panorama?
Can you tell me what went wrong with this panorama?
I am trying out Panomonkey to possibly recommend it to visitors of another website.
When I do that, than I will also include a review of the features provided by Panomonkey.
I prefer to restrict respective tests to features which Panomonkey claims to support.
