If you have a social anxiety disorder you need help to get over it, it
is not easy to overcome this disorder, most people don't understand
how frustrating and difficult it can become, however there are
different recovery treatments that are available nowadays.
Social anxiety support groups are a great way to get help and improve
your self, most people don't know what to do or where to ask for help
and they don't like to go with a psychiatrist. A support groups is a
great way to meet people that have the same problem and that
understand you.
The great benefit of those groups is that they share their experiences
and you learn from them, you will hear what works for some people and
what doesn't work. For example there are people that have tried many
medications over the years, some have produce great results and other
not, they will tell you that kind of information.
You can also share your experience and get advice from them but of
course no one will pressure you. But be aware that even if you can get
great advice from support groups, if you want to take or need any kind
of medications you need to go to a doctor so he can prescribe you the
correct medications, failing to do this can cause many side effects.
Another alternative is to find online group support forums where
people with social anxiety from all over the world share their views
and give you advice. This is a great way to meet new people, but you
should also try to meet some people in your daily life and push your
self a little bit forward every day.
