If everyone has a right to praise God, I have. I was able to learn how
to relieve anxiety attacks without medications. If you have been
subjected to swallowing dangerous habit-forming antidepressant drugs
just to treat your anxiety disorder and panic attacks, there is good
news for you. You can stop your medications this day and still get
better within a few weeks of starting a new revolutionary technique to
stop anxiety.
There are several approaches to getting relieve from anxiety attacks
without medications. These approaches include cognitive behavioral
therapy, relaxation technique, progressive muscle relaxation
technique, deep breathing, meditation, psycho-hypnosis, yoga and tai
chi. Most people have been able to eliminate attacks by applying any
of these techniques or combination of the techniques for effective
results.
Cognitive behavioral therapy has been shown to be very helpful in the
treatment of anxiety disorder. This approach tends to evaluate the
distortions in the ways we view ourselves and the world in general.
Once we are able to identify the negative thought patterns that
automatically get activated in our brains leading to anxiety, we are
already one step to eliminating an attack.
To successfully apply cognitive behavioral therapy to relieve anxiety
attacks without medications, you need the right education to show you
how to understand your anxiety and take appropriate proactive steps to
it. You should be able to realistically evaluate and change your
thought patterns. You must challenge all negative thoughts and put
them into captivity and your fears will subside. Instead of avoiding
situations that make you tremble and sweat, you need to tackle them
head on. Cognitive behavioral therapy gives you the tool to focus on
your fears without avoiding or running from them.
Deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation techniques will help
you to reduce the excessive physical arousal of the "flight" response
that maintains your level of anxiety. You can train yourself to
activate the body's natural relaxation response and quickly get
relieve from an attack. Anxiety cannot be avoided, but you can
counteract its negative effects by learning how to activate your
relaxation response, which is the polar opposite of the anxiety
response.
