to Panic and Anxiety
There is not one person on this earth who has not experienced stress
or anxiety at some point in their lives but for some people anxiety
attacks or panic attacks are more than a minor inconvenience. They can
be very disruptive in one's life greatly affecting their
relationships, career, and all areas of their lives. There are
countless triggers that can cause anxiety or panic attacks and
although fear and panic are emotional states of mind there can also be
physical symptoms of anxiety attacks.
The physical symptoms of anxiety or panic attacks may include
shortness of breath, an accelerated heart rate, sweating, shaking or
trembling, dizziness, upset stomach, and many more. Some people have
even gone to the emergency room thinking they were having a heart
attack when it turned out to be anxiety. These symptoms may not be
life threatening but they can certainly have a huge impact on the way
people live their lives. So what can you do to try to alleviate
anxiety and panic attacks?
Obviously if the problem is bad enough you could visit a psychiatrist
and even possibly take prescription medication. There are also many
herbal supplements and remedies available today that claim to help
reduce anxiety. In addition to psychotherapy, pills, and herbal
supplements many people will also do yoga, meditation, or breathing
exercises to help themselves to remain calm. Exercising on a regular
basis can also help. Exercising releases endorphins into the
bloodstream and these hormones naturally give you a feeling of
euphoria. It's always best to consult a competent medical professional
when attempting to treat a medical condition.
