Recent developments have afforded me the opportunity to ween off of
Zoloft since for me it is impractical to use it for panic attacks.

It is a general consensus that Benzodiazepines are more effective and
so I will remain on Klonopin.

The instructions I received from a Psychiatrist is that the process of
weening off of Zoloft is to reduce by half the current dosage for one
week and then by another half the next week.

Please discuss the appropriate way for you to ween off any medications
with your medical professional.

I have experienced some withdrawal symptoms like pains in my bones and
muscles. Ibuprofen is an effective reliever.

My thought are with all of you.

I'd humbly suggest weaning off of Zoloft much slower than that.  I'd never, ever cut it in half.  Maybe cut it a quarter, and remain on that for at least a week, at the very very least.  I don't know about weaning off Zoloft, since I remain on 200 mg of it, and probably will indefinitely, but Effexor and Paxil gave me horrible withdrawals, no matter how slowly I did it.  Not trying to scare you, as Zoloft may not be as hard to go off of as those two, but those were awful to stop.  The worst part was the "brain zaps."  I'm glad I had Prozac on hand to start at a low dose while going off them.  Best wishes to you!
