to Panic Disorder Sufferers
I myself have an anxiety/panic disorder, and even though there are
times under very stressful situations, that the panic attacks are so
severe and scary, that I just want to run away and hide, which I
have in the past and have to admit once last year, I still make the
effort to go back out there and try it again. Because about six years
ago, I became an agoraphopic(fear of public/open places where a panic
attack occurred), for fear that it might happen again, so I avoided
going to the stores or anywhere public, then after months of trying to
get out and with no luck, I got pregnant and got professional help
where a talk therapist came to my home and help me slowly work through
it. Trust me it was a long challenging process, however, I achieved
the goal. Even after getting professional help and many sessions of
talk therapy, I slowly came around and even on days which I still
refer to as "bad days" I still go back out there and tried it again.
My point is simple, don't let the Anxiety/Panic disorder put your life
on hold and let it control you, and keep you from living life and
enjoying the things that you like and/ or love to do and be with the
people you care about. Remember, there are people are there that can
and are willing to help and you are not alone. Just please don't give
up, don't quit, and always, always believe in yourself and that you
can and will succeed, for there is always hope.
