August Second Saturday Work Party!

Hello All

Hope that you are hanging in there!  My name is Ryan Barrett, I've been working with Rec and Park to help bring volunteering back to the Panhandle.

Dale was kind enough to share this email list with me so that I could share with you an invitation for this weekend's volunteer work party. 

Event details:

What: Rain bed maintenance (weeding and filling in new plants).  There is a chance we might be installing some sheet mulching as well to help keep the beds weed-free for longer.

When: August 8h from 10am-12pm (noon). 

Where: Meet at the kiosk near the children's play area.  Ashbury & Oak st.

We plan to keep the same recurring monthly time-slot for the foreseeable future.  I promise to give you more than 72 hours notice next time :)

Finally, we are excited to get out there, but we also want to ensure the safety and comfort of all parties involved.  To accommodate, the Friends of Groups have been provided some COVID guidance to ensure safety and comfort:

• We're being asked to keep work groups to 10 individuals or less and to have people register before participating This is available both online(https://bit.ly/sfrpdvolunteerwaiver) but also can be filled out upon arrival so nothing to worry about!
• Masks are required and we'd ask that you bring one with you :)
• A general safety protocol of "no sharing tools" will be in-effect to help keep each other safe. Tools will be provided by city officials.
• Latex glove liners and gardening gloves will be provided, but you can bring your own if you'd prefer!
• For the time being, food and drinks are BYOE (bring your own everything) to keep each other safe.
