Creatinga personalized calendar is easier than you think. And depending on your preference, you can go as simple or creative as you want. For a few ideas on designs and making your calendar special, take a look at my suggestions below.

The layout is another area where you can get creative. Layouts range from a standard wall calendar, to a desk calendar, easel calendar, and more. And depending on what you choose, you can decide if you want one photo per page or multiple.

Photos are the gift that keep on giving, reminding us of some of our favorite times in life. Having those moments captured is a true blessing, and showcasing those memories with a personalized calendar is a truly thoughtful gift for anyone on your list.

The last thing that you need to decide on is the language of the calendar. The available languages today, January 2021 are: English, Dansk, Deutsch, Espanol, Franais, Italiano, Nederlands, Polski and Portugues.

Probably the most wanted engagement photography studio in Paris.

We are also talented at wedding photography in Paris, honeymoon, anniversary, family shoots, even solo portraits and just for fun photo sessions.

In 2007, legendary soccer player Lionel Messi posed for pictures with a small baby who was visiting a Barcelona locker room as part of a charity calendar photo shoot. More than 16 years later, that baby has grown up to become Spanish star footballer Lamine Yamal - the youngest male goal scorer in European Championship history.

This photo taken in Sept. 2007 shows a 20-year-old Lionel Messi, who had embarked on his legendary Barcelona career just over four years prior, cradling Lamine Yamal, who was merely six months old at the time during a photo session in the dressing room of the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, Spain. Lamine Yamal is now a soccer sensation for both Spain and Barcelona and he is still only 16-years-old. (AP Photo/Joan Monfort)

I would be VERY cautious dealing with her. First of all, no way in hell should she get "full rights". You own the copyright period. I work with Getty Images as a photographer and the contract I signed with them still gives ME, the photographer full rights to my work. In Getty's case, the only restriction I have is I cannot use a stock company in direct competition with them. That being said, I feel you are leaving an aweful lot on the table with this person. I say draw up a contract, place a limit on the amount of printed calendars and state that YOU as the photographer retain usage rights for all of your work.

Her owning a promotional products company leads me to believe she has vast experience in negotiating unfair deals in her favour, based on the information you have provided. I feel you approached her budget limitations in a professional manner and she didnt provide you a forthright reply.

How much to charge? If you retain the rights to your own work for the 4-6 hours you estimate I think your pretty much in the ballgame anywhere between 2K to 3K. This is based exclusively on your labor with the shoot and post proccesing. I would be interested to see what other photographers have to say about this myself, especially whos specific line of work is portraiture or commercial advertising.

The holidays months can bring extra leisure time, and there's nothing more rewarding than spending that free time on a challenging photography project. During last year's fall holidays I decided to turn my available energy into something creative and fun: a pet calendar for 2018.

Perhaps these images will inspire you to try out a calendar project yourself. It doesn't have to be pet themed. Use your favorite subject, whether astrophotography, portraits (don't forget release forms), or landscapes. The calendars made great gifts for friends and family.

After beginning the project in October, I was crunched for time. I browsed royalty-free websites for backgrounds to composite with. While that might sound lazy, the truth is that going this route required detailed attention to lighting as well as hours compositing in Photoshop.

After deciding on the backgrounds for each month, my wife and I set up a basic home studio with a white backdrop. Since our cat, Jeff, (the subject of the calendar) is brown, the white would make clipping him out and pasting to the new backgrounds simple. While not absolutely necessary, a green screen could also be used for this purpose.

The lighting setup was easy: Two studio strobes and a Speedlight mounted to my camera for front fill light when necessary. A few modifiers and gels were used to change the direction and color temperature of light.

If you know anything about pet photography, you know that these shoots require a lot of patience plus a handful of treats. Since we weren't working with a green screen, we would go back and forth between analyzing the light in the image while it was fresh in our minds and attempting to wrangle our furry model with more treats. It got chaotic at times, but was actually loads of fun.

You've created your 12 images, great! Now, it's time to print them out and create some unique holiday gifts for your friends and family. You have options when it comes to printing out your calendar, the easiest route being to outsource it to a professional printer.

The other, more involved option for creating your calendar is using a template and binding it at home by punching holes with a wire-binding machine. (have I lost you? Maybe you should stick with ordering your calendar online).

Unless you want to use one of the inside pictures as a cover (most do), I would recommend shooting a 13th photo. Also keep in mind what direction your Calendar will be opening in and shoot accordingly. Calendars mostly open from the wide end and would best be shot in landscape. Some calendars open on the narrow side and would best be shot in portrait.

Fun idea! I especially like the concept of compositing other pets in on ornaments in the Christmas tree set. (Or you could even decorate a tree with multiple image-ornaments of just the one pet in the photo, for a gift that could send some pet owners I know over the moon.)

The Capitals took photos for their annual dog calendar on Tuesday at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, where they partnered with Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. The calendars will be available for sale later this fall, selling for $20. Proceeds will benefit Wolf Trap Animal Rescue and the MSE Foundation.

Let's get logistics out of the way. The answer to this question is yesterday... LOL. I mean it, Fall is the most popular season for photos in New England. Why? the FOLIAGE. It's breathtaking, it's beautiful, and it's beyond your (and my) wildest dreams.

Photographers release their Fall calendar VERY early in the year! Repeat clients get the first pick (I email my ATP Newsletter with Fall dates in mid-January) then the dates are published to the world. We get completely sold out by early September at the latest.

Foliage takes place in mid-October (give or take), Mother Nature NEVER tells us when she'll be at peak but if previous years are a good reference, then mid to late October is a solid guess. So yes, in mid-October most of the trees will be starting to scream color. But in the same way that there are no 2 identical humans (not even twins!!) there are no 2 trees alike. This is good news!! Photographers scout ALL the time, especially in Fall. Every location has its own fall timing. We follow the leaves! In 2021, I started shooting Fall Sessions in Lexington, then moved around Concord, Belmont, Weston, Carlisle, Boston, Lincoln, and back to Lexington. Every year is a bit different, I'm constantly scouting hidden gems!

Bold colors are a stretch! but you might get lucky! You would never know that I shot this session on September 15th. This family had a limited Mid-September availability, I scouted and found a hidden gem. Yes!! some trees decide to go WILD in color in September. So if your family's calendar asks for September, don't hesitate, go for it. It's all about your photographer's scouting broadly!
