Help installing and activating PanelSys

Step 1 – Get the program onto your computer

I presume that you have already downloaded (by double clicking the
link on the Downloads page of the PanelSys web site) the PanelSys v3.1
setup program and have run it (either by clicking the “Open” button in
the Windows download window or by double clicking the downloaded file
itself).

After installing it – you will see the blue “PanelSys” icon on your
computer "desktop". If you double click that icon PanelSys will
start.

If it does – great – we are almost done! Now please close the program
and go to step 2.

If you need help here then it would be useful for me to know what
version of Microsoft Windows you are using (e.g. Windows 98 / XP etc)
on your computer.


Step 2 – Install your personal PanelSys “Licence” file

You must first have successfully completed step 1 above.

You now need to save the “Licence file” (it’s in the email that I sent
to you when you made your purchase) into your PanelSys folder. To do
this, open the email. On the menu choose “File” then “Save
Attachments”. You must now tell the email program where you want to
save your file. To do this you will need to “navigate” to the PanelSys
folder – there will be a drive/folder list offered to you in the “Save
Attachments” window. Pick the “C:” drive. Pick the folder “Program
Files”. Then pick “AHC”. Finally, pick “PanelSys”. Click “Save”.

Now re-start PanelSys via the blue icon on your “desktop”. Click the
“Help” menu option on the top line. Choose “About PanelSys”. If all is
well then you will see your name in the bottom left hand corner of the
screen (under the superhero picture).

Step 3 – Getting On-Line Help

Click the “Help” menu option on the top line. Choose “Quick Start”.
This tells you how to start using the program.
