Serial?

I'm probably missing something again, but when I run the serial
example and enter commands in the Arduino serial monitor nothing
happens. I just get the scrolling "." Do I have to set something
else up for this to work? Is there a serial example that works
straight away? Thanks!

Sorry, hadn't been looking at this forum in a while.

You need to load Example 6 onto the board,
And use the Panel8x8 Control program to write serially to the board.
This a dotnet program, runs under windows.

Otherwise, you'd need to study the control sequence,
Which is binary based
(Scroll Speed and Text Length are binary values.)
