Hello everyone,
I'm new to this group and I'm trying to install Pandora but get when running scons I get the following error:

scons: Reading SConscript files ...
Checking for C library boost_python-py33... no
Checking for C library boost_python-py34... no

scons: *** Multiple ways to build the same target were specified for: lib/libpyPandora.so
File ".../SConstruct", line 103, in <module>

Do you know what may be wrong?

Best regards,
Damian

Hi Damien,

Try to install an older Linux distro (I use a Debian Stable Virtual Machin and it works fine). Lot of  libraries used by Pandora have been update with the upgrade from gcc 4.x to  gcc 5.x or gcc 6 (that most up to date distros have adopted). You could manually fix that in the SConstruct by pointing to the new libraries, but you will be faced with the some incompatibilities between pandora and GDAL2.0 (as it has been already pointed here by someone else few months ago).

So until pandora is made compatible with GDAL2.0, I think that the best solution remains to use a VM with a distro that is still using gcc 4.x and associated libraries.

Hope it will help you,

Simon
