Hello,

is there a documentation for local installation available?
I see people having a lot of issues to get the local version working.
Is it generally supported at all?
If local installs are so tricky how does ec2 part ensure to work
stable.
I am just evaluating panda for a customer and have to deliver some
infos about dev environments

Any input would be great,

Hi,

There aren't any comprehensive docs for local installation yet. It can be a bit of a fiddle, partly because of the hassle setting up ffmpeg and getting all the correct rubygems. The EC2 instance has all this setup.

Having said that, the new hosted service (pandastream.com/) has been built from the ground up, and we will be releasing parts of it later in the year.
