what's the current state of panda es (4460) support in x-loader and u-boot?

after some time off, i'm finally getting back to playing with my
panda es, and almost everything i read shows bootloader support for
the original panda (omap4430).

the latest checkout of the x-loader shows only omap4430-related
files, and while u-boot itself has an "omap4_panda_config" target,
there's nothing i see there that specifically mentions the 4460.

on the other hand, i remember when i actually added some content to
this page:

http://elinux.org/PandaBoard_ES_uboot_howto

but that suggested you *needed* to get the linaro version of u-boot.
so can anyone summarize what the state of things is these days WRT
x-loader, u-boot and panda es? thanks.

x-loader is not needed. You only need u-boot, which will make u-boot and
MLO for you.

We are using:
git://git.linaro.org/boot/u-boot-linaro-stable.git
branch: 2012.05-2

with the omap4_panda_config.

that's what i meant, i realize that u-boot will generate the MLO
file for me.

i just tried a quick build using:

* u-boot-linaro-stable.git (master)
* (Sourcery CodeBench Lite 2012.03-57) 4.6.3

built with "omap4_panda_config" and, with just the MLO and u-boot.img
on my SD card, booted to u-boot. so that's a good sign.

well, while i'm here, what's the simplest recipe for building a
fully bootable image for the ES? obviously, i can now get MLO and
u-boot.img pretty easily. and while i've been using yocto lately, i
don't *think* the meta-ti layer supports the ES, just the original
panda (but i could be wrong).

so for people building for and running on the ES, what's your recipe
these days? thanks.
